Yarmouth's Conservation Commission approved a coastal bank stabilization project at 23 Eriks Path with planting conditions.
Conservation · Meeting of November 5, 2026
Yarmouth's Conservation Commission approved a coastal bank stabilization project at 23 Eriks Path with planting conditions. The commission voted by voice to grant the notice of intent, requiring coir logs be planted with salt-tolerant plugs, annual monitoring and a signed contract with an experienced wetlands contractor. Wetland scientist Brad Holmes said planting in the coir fiber "may not be successful," and members accepted a lower survivability standard.
The commission also approved the 108 Wilfin Road notice of intent with 15 replacement trees, about eight in the buffer zone, and added dirt bikes to updated conservation area rules. Hearings for 122 Mayflower Terrace and 19 Covey Drive were continued to Nov. 19.
