Falmouth Moves Beach Permit Sales to Town Hall Amid Bathhouse Closure

FALMOUTH — Beach parking permit sticker sales have relocated to 59 Town Hall Square after a motor vehicle crashed into the Ellen T. Mitchell Bathhouse Beach Administration Building at 56 Surf Drive on the morning of Aug. 10, town officials said. The Surf Drive bathhouse remains closed until further notice.

TOWN HALL

Sticker sales now run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily at Town Hall Square rather than at the beach, the town said, with no repair timeline yet announced for the bathhouse building.

Sewer construction continues to reshape traffic patterns through the end of the month. The Brick Kiln Road and Sandwich Road intersection will close for two days, Aug. 24-25, adding to the ongoing Randolph Street and Maravista Avenue Extension detours, which run weekdays from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Separately, the town thanked residents who took part in its survey on a proposed shift to 95-gallon trash carts, saying the feedback will help shape next steps.
