Patuisset Beach Reopens for Swimming in Bourne

BOURNE — Patuisset Beach has reopened for swimming, the Town of Bourne announced in a News Flash post, restoring a popular summer swimming spot for residents as the season continues.

TOWN HALL The Town of Bourne's News Flash system listed the Patuisset Beach reopening as its top update, giving residents and visitors renewed access to one of the town's saltwater beaches during peak summer season. The town did not provide additional detail on the reopening in its post.

COMING UP Bourne has a full slate of community dates over the next week. Meditations on the Beach is set for Sunday, July 19. The Select Board meets Tuesday, July 21, the same evening the Bourne Public Schools Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging Committee holds its meeting on Google Meets. Dancing Under the Stars is also scheduled for Tuesday, July 21, and the Board of Health holds a hybrid meeting Wednesday, July 22. The week wraps up Thursday, July 23, with the Canal Region Farmers Market and Concerts by the Canal, alongside a Planning Board meeting the same day.
