Sewer Work Closes Sections of Brick Kiln Road, Maravista Avenue

Falmouth's sewer expansion project is closing sections of two more town roads to weekday traffic, with new detour maps expected next week. The closures come as the town also flags a new art exhibit at Falmouth Community Television and heads into a Select Board meeting and public hearing Monday.

Brick Kiln Road is closed between Sandwich and Oxbow roads, and Maravista Avenue is closed between Nickerson and Randolph streets, both Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., as crews continue the town's sewer construction project, according to the town's News Flash update. New detour maps for upcoming road closures are expected to be posted early in the week of August 17.

The town also posted its "What's Happening Around Town?" roundup of department updates for July and thanked residents for weighing in on a survey about a proposed 95-gallon trash cart, both according to the town's News Flash feed.
