Zoning Board · Meeting of October 22, 2026
YARMOUTH — The Yarmouth Zoning Board of Appeals approved two petitions Thursday, clearing a deck addition in West Yarmouth and a dog-boarding expansion on Higgins Crowell Road. Chair Sean Igoe led the five-member panel, including Dick Martin, Barbara Murphy, Anthony Panebianco and Richard Scali, through unanimous 5-0 votes on both items. Ion Sajin won setback relief for a 10-by-13-foot deck at 483 Route 28, with members also allowing him to withdraw an unneeded variance request "without prejudice." The board then voted 5-0 to modify The Howl-A-Day LLC's special permit, letting owner Alisha Ludwig board up to 12 dogs at 535 Higgins Crowell Road in addition to roughly 40 already boarded nearby.
Igoe called it "a very, very good business." Minutes from an October 8 session were tabled for lack of eligible voting members.
