Capital Panel Sets Oct. 20 Vote on Fire, Golf Items
Capital Planning · Meeting of September 21, 2026
Yarmouth Capital Budget Committee adds an October 20 session to beat a Fall Town Meeting warrant deadline. Assistant Town Administrator Amy Frigiletti told members the town administrator set October 20 as the cutoff for capital recommendations to make the printed warrant, prompting the committee to unanimously approve a revised schedule that also moved the Conservation Commission's presentation to October 5. Four articles are headed to Fall Town Meeting: three from the Golf Division and one Fire Department request to replace an ambulance.
Member Andrew Laird was absent, reported traveling out of the country, leaving a colleague to "fly solo" on an upcoming meeting with Fire Chief Lennon. One longtime member called the committee's new written guidance document "a tribute to Bill Scott," saying it finally put the panel's unwritten process "into the written word."
