Waterways Committee · Meeting of June 23, 2026
BARNSTABLE — The Waterways Committee approved a scallop propagation project and nine mooring appeals, all by 4-0 roll calls. Deputy Harbormaster Jay Horn said the Hyannisport Yacht Club, whose sailors use the proposed site, "gave its blessing" after he marked the area with poly balls, and asked the shellfish department to visit its youth sailing program. The nine mooring holders, all first-time cases, still owe the late fee plus a $25 reinstatement fee, and the committee warned that a second offense would likely not be considered because of the waiting list.
Members deferred the May 12 and May 19 minutes after a member said they arrived only that day, and approved the April 28 minutes. Horn also said the Hyannis Fourth of July boat parade is to start around 2:30 p.m., with a drone show around 9:15 p.m.
