BARNSTABLE — The Waterways Committee voted 4-0 to recommend the Harbormaster's 2027 fee proposals to the town manager. Harbormaster Brian Taylor proposed a flat $15 Bushpoint ramp fee, up from $8 on weekdays and $10 on weekends, and a $125 seasonal pass, up from $100. Mooring fees would add about $42,000 on roughly $400,000 in FY26 revenue.
Small vessel permits would rise to $30 for mooring holders and $60 for others. A new Katua town dock fee of $150 for mooring holders and $300 for others drew debate over congestion. Marina fees would add about $28,000 in the third phase.
The recommendation is not binding; the town manager must approve it after a public hearing.
