Falmouth Conservation Commission closes two wetlands hearings and continues six others. The commission voted unanimously Wednesday to close hearings and take under advisement a salt marsh restoration proposal at 71 Childs River Road and a multi-element dock permitting case at 32 Surrey Lane in East Falmouth, rejecting a small riprap component in the Childs River project and directing the Surrey Lane applicants to extend a modular dock by two eight-foot sections so users would not need to cross bordering vegetated wetland to reach it. Conservation Agent Jennifer Lincoln cautioned against allowing even minor stone armoring in the salt marsh installation, stating approval "would kind of negate a lot of decisions that have been made in the past." The commission also approved an amendment extending all work deadlines for an enforcement-order case at 42 Squibnocket Drive to April 30, after engineer Michael Borselli of Falmouth Engineering cited contractor scheduling and the property owner's health issues as barriers to meeting the original October 15 planting deadline.

A vote on an Order of Conditions for 227 Edgewater Drive West was postponed for lack of quorum and rescheduled for a special Zoom session the following Wednesday morning.
