Falmouth Posts July Department Activity Roundup

FALMOUTH — Falmouth's town government posted its monthly rundown of department activity for July to the official News Flash feed, giving residents a fresh look at operations across Town Hall as the Select Board and Planning Board both prepare to return to session next week.

TOWN HALL

The town's "What's Happening Around Town?" department update for July went live on the News Flash feed this week, part of the town's regular practice of summarizing activity across municipal departments for residents. The Select Board meets Monday, August 10, followed by the Planning Board on Tuesday, August 11, both at Town Hall.

COMMUNITY & ARTS

The Falmouth Public Library's three branches have packed the coming week with hands-on programming. At the East Falmouth branch, performer Ooch brings a yo-yo, music and instrument show for families Tuesday at noon, following a Monday morning "Stories, Songs and Instruments" session and a Monday afternoon paper-quilling workshop for beginners. At the Main library, Monday's slate includes lawn games at 10 a.m., a Mindful Movement play group with the Coalition for Children at 10:30 a.m., beginner Mah Jongg open play at 1 p.m., a Lego free-build session at 2:30 p.m., and a 3:30 p.m. meeting of the Falmouth Genealogical Society.

"Members' Exhibition Reception - Finding Vinland: Exploring the Possibility of Vikings on Cape Cod" opens at the Falmouth Historical Society's Museums on the Green campus on Palmer Avenue.
