Library To Open New Cape Cod Photo Exhibit Saturday
Falmouth Public Library's Main branch opens a new Cape Cod photography exhibit this Saturday, the centerpiece of a full week of summer programming across the library system. The show arrives as Town Hall posts its monthly department updates and readies residents for a new sewer detour on Maravista Avenue next week.

Falmouth's town government posted its monthly roundup of department updates for July on the town website this week, part of its ongoing effort to keep residents informed of work across municipal offices. The update landed alongside a construction bulletin noting that Brick Kiln Road remains closed between Sandwich and Oxbow roads for sewer work, with crews set to add a new closure on Maravista Avenue between Nickerson and Randolph streets starting the week of Aug. 10; both closures run 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays.

The Falmouth Public Library's Main branch opens the Upper Cape Camera Club's photo exhibit, "Fun on Cape Cod," on Saturday, Aug. 8, with the show on view through Monday, Aug. 10, when the library also hosts Library Lawn Games at 10 a.m.
The East Falmouth branch runs a scavenger hunt and a beginner Mah Jongg open play Saturday, then Maker Mondays confetti poppers and a paper-quilling workshop on Aug. 10, followed by a stories-and-songs program and a yo-yo performance by Ooch! on Aug. 11. The North Falmouth branch hosts lawn games on its lawn Aug. 10.
