SANDWICH -- Town recreation offerings and a youth soccer registration window were the notable items on the local sports calendar for the week of July 20-26.

The Sandwich Recreation Department is promoting several current program flyers on its website, including a "B-Free Strength and Stretch Community Yoga" class, a "Sandwich Beaches 2026" flyer, a summer baseball clinic, a summer golf program, "RideAway," and an updated adult programming flier. The department also continues to highlight Oak Crest Cove Park on Quaker Meetinghouse Road, describing it as home to a "one of a kind community designed Skate park" along with two regulation-sized tennis courts and six pickleball courts. Sandwich Soccer Club has opened registration for its Fall 2026 season, according to the club's website, which states, "Online registration is now open for Fall 2026 - now through August 7, 2025." The club also noted that the South Coast Soccer League "announced on June 8th that it has decided NOT to adopt the new age-based registration requirements set out by US Youth Soccer," meaning registrations for the league "will continue to be grade-based."
