Sandwich Seeks Volunteer for Conservation Commission Seat
DATELINE — SANDWICH The town is looking for a resident to serve as an Alternate/Associate Member of the Conservation Commission, the volunteer board that oversees the protection of Sandwich's wetlands and open spaces. It's one of several items on an active civic calendar this week, which also includes four town board meetings and a fine arts and craft show.
TOWN HALL The Town of Sandwich is recruiting an Alternate/Associate Member for the Conservation Commission, a volunteer role tasked with helping protect the town's wetlands, open spaces and other natural resources. Residents interested in applying are asked to fill out a Talent Bank Form through the town website.
COMMUNITY & ARTS The Sandwich Artisans Fine Arts & Craft Show returns Saturday, September 5, with a second date scheduled for September 19, giving residents two chances this month to browse work from local artists and craftspeople.
COMING UP Four town boards meet Wednesday, September 2: the Board of Appeals, the Commission on Disability, the Sandwich Historical Commission and the Conservation Commission. The Sandwich Housing Authority meets Thursday, September 3, the same evening JERA Americas holds its public meeting on the proposed Canal Energy Storage Project at the Center for Active Living, 6 to 8 p.m. The Sandwich Artisans Fine Arts & Craft Show runs Saturday, September 5.
