HARWICH — The Harwich Select Board unanimously affirmed its 2016 flow-neutral position for the Pleasant Bay sewer area. A consultant said average flow to Chatham is about 45,000 gallons per day against a 300,000-gallon ceiling. The board's motion kept a "temporary moratorium" on variances that would raise a parcel's allowable wastewater flow.
The Town Administrator said S&P reaffirmed the town's AAA bond rating. The board also affirmed Neil Murphy as Recreation Director and approved a $424,689.67 harbor boat contract. It discussed seven interview-committee recommendations without a vote, ending with a plan to revise its appointment policies.
Monomoy Regional Middle School students will start Sept. 3 because of mold remediation.
