Yarmouth Conservation Commission continues three coastal applications and approves five permits at lengthy June meeting. The commission voted 6-0 with one abstention to approve a certificate of compliance for a 1975 seawall permit at 703 Route 28 pending cleanup of surface hazardous waste at a Parker's River commercial property that Chair David described as the "messiest, dirty" site he had seen in six years on the board. A companion notice of intent by BSC Group's Kieran Healy proposing three flood-compliant duplex buildings — which would eliminate all 1,359 square feet of existing disturbance in the 0-to-35-foot coastal buffer — was continued to June 18 pending a revised planting plan, an invasive species management plan, and a degraded riverfront area calculation.

The commission also voted unanimously to authorize a violation notice requiring removal of an unpermitted patio and walkway at 7 Cape Isle Drive by July 10 and to seek a free coastal processes peer review from Brian McCormick of the Woods Hole Sea Grant for a contentious bulkhead replacement at 166–172 Blue Rock Road, continued to July 16. Conservation board member Patricia announced she will retire at the end of June after more than eight years of service; Jack Frost was elected the commission's new secretary.
