ZBA extends three cases, approves Great Neck change
Zoning Board · Meeting of September 24, 2026
Mashpee ZBA grants three continuances, approves a Great Neck Road fix, and keeps a 65-unit 40B project moving. Attorney Christopher Corrain won extensions to October 28 for 27 Kimpath Road and 30 Overland Road, and to October 14 for 12 Running Lightweight Way, where members balked at a plan lacking "any engineering." At 701 Great Neck Road South, the board approved owner Robert Fox's request to shift a nonconforming structure into compliance over abutters' objections about alleged commercial use, finding those concerns outside the application's scope. On the Overland Road cottage-habitation dispute, Town Counsel told the board "there's the Dutot case, which allows boards to do that," referring to converting an enforcement appeal into a variance.
The board also approved a $6,000 payment to Allen & Major Associates and continued the OnCommons LLC 40B hearing on Route 28 to October 14 after civil engineer Jim Pavlik said the design was like fitting "ten pounds of potatoes into a five pound bag."
