Dennis opens nominations for annual Public Service Award
The town is accepting nominations for the annual Dennis Public Service Award, which honors outstanding service by an appointed or elected member of the town's boards, committees or commissions, officials announced today.

The Town of Dennis put out a call for nominations for the Dennis Public Service Award, an annual recognition for appointed or elected members of the town's boards, committees and commissions who have gone above and beyond in their volunteer service. Details on how to submit a nomination are posted on the town's website.
COMMUNITY & ARTS
Dennis Public Library is rolling out a run of summer programming for residents of all ages. A new "Pop-up Art School" series kicks off Tuesday, July 21, at 4 p.m. with a felted butterfly hoop craft session. Later in the month, the library hosts "Cape Cod History: 12 Stories for 12 Generations," a lecture on regional history, Thursday, July 23, at 6 p.m.

The Select Board holds drop-in office hours Saturday, July 18, at 10 a.m. The Dennis-Yarmouth Regional School Committee holds a workshop Monday, July 20, followed on the same day by a meeting of the Planning Board. The Council on Aging meets Tuesday, July 21. Also Tuesday, July 21, the library's Pop-up Art School series begins with a felted butterfly hoop session at 4 p.m.
