Eastham Schools Approve $42,174 FY27 Prepayment
School Committee · Meeting of September 15, 2026
Eastham School Committee closes FY26 with better-than-feared numbers, OKs $42,174 prepayment. Assistant Superintendent of Finance Beth Regulbuto told the committee an initial $118,190 deficit narrowed to $157,903 after state offsets, calling it "good news, really good news." Members voted 4-0 to authorize prepaying up to $42,174 in fiscal 2027 special education and transportation costs, with Vice Chair Devon O'Rourke absent from that vote. Superintendent Glenn Brand said no town wants to consolidate schools but some officials want to study regionalized governance further, citing a Martha's Vineyard model.
The committee also welcomed new Eastham Elementary Principal Dylan Falk and approved Gina Gonsalves as recording secretary, 5-0.
