Finance Committee interviews rescheduled to July 9 at Town Hall
TRURO — Town Moderator Paul Wisotzky will interview citizens who applied to serve on the Finance Committee on Thursday, July 9, after the originally scheduled July 7 session was cancelled.

The Finance Committee interviews, initially set for July 7, have been moved to July 9 from 2:30 to 4 p.m. at Town Hall, where interested residents may attend in person, according to a News Flash notice from Town Moderator Paul Wisotzky's office.
Separately, the Select Board announced it will hold a hybrid public hearing on July 28 at 5 p.m. to set its Goals & Objectives for fiscal year 2027, review the current year's goals, and assess progress made against them.
The town is also updating its Open Space and Recreation Plan, a document that will guide Truro's open space and recreation priorities for the next decade. Residents can share input through a community forum, by emailing pio@truro-ma.gov, or by visiting the town's OSR plan webpage. Meanwhile, the Department of Public Works is hiring a year-round union mechanic, with applications due by 3 p.m. on August 3.
Residents should also expect construction delays this week along Pole Dike Road, where crews with N&M Excavating are installing culvert components as part of the Wellfleet/Herring River Restoration Project. Detour routes are available via Briar Lane and Coles Neck Road.
SCHOOLS
Truro Central School is honoring two longtime educators, Nancy Winslow and Alice Rieselbach, for more than 60 combined years of service to the school community, the town said in a news release. The School Committee will hold a hybrid meeting on Thursday, July 9.
COMMUNITY & ARTS
The Truro Public Library has a busy stretch of programming ahead. On Thursday, July 9, the library will host Mahjong and a performance by the Cape Cod Jazz Quartet, alongside outreach from the Homeless Prevention Council.
Starting Friday, July 10, and running through July 17, the library will feature its StoryWalk® installation "Poo-Dunit? A Forest Floor Mystery," a family-friendly outdoor reading trail. Friday, July 10 also brings a "Soul Mapping" program and an Artists Reception, while Saturday, July 11 offers "Chain Reactions & Playful Contraptions" for younger patrons. The library's Anne H. Brock Room is currently showing an exhibit from the Truro Group, a local artists' collective.
