Truro Town Hall closes Thursday as Independence Day holiday weekend begins

**Friday, July 3** — Town Hall and the Community Center are closed today in observance of Independence Day. The Truro Public Library and the Transfer Station will follow on Saturday, July 4, when both will also be closed for the holiday.

**Saturday, July 4** — The Truro Public Library remains open through Friday, July 3, before closing for Independence Day. Residents needing library services should plan accordingly; regular hours resume Tuesday, July 8.

**Coming up — Tuesday, July 7, 9:00 a.m.** — Town Moderator Paul Wisotzky will hold the first round of interviews with citizens who have applied to serve on the Finance Committee. Interviews take place in person at Town Hall from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m., with a second session scheduled for Thursday, July 9, from 2:30 to 4:00 p.m. Residents interested in observing may attend either session.

**Coming up — Tuesday, July 7** — The Truro Public Library hosts two events: a Mahjong gathering and a Children's Community Garden Group meeting. That evening, the library presents "In Conversation with Author Christopher Mirabile and Laurie Witt."

**Coming up — Wednesday, July 8** — The library continues its summer programming with a Papercraft Bug Display Workshop, a Stay Strong Cancer Support Group meeting, and its Food for Kids program.

**Coming up — Monday, July 28, 5:00 p.m.** — The Select Board will hold a hybrid public hearing to present its Goals and Objectives for fiscal year 2027, review the concluding year's goals, and assess accomplishments. The meeting is open to in-person and remote attendance; details are available at truro-ma.gov.
