Bourne Planning Board Seeks Applicants for Open Seat by Sept. 1

BOURNE — The Bourne Planning Board has an open seat up for grabs, with the town setting a September 1 deadline for residents interested in serving out a term that runs through the 2027 Town Election.

TOWN HALL

The Planning Board vacancy, posted on the town's News Flash feed, calls for one appointee to a term expiring at the 2027 Town Election. Residents interested in serving must submit applications by 4 p.m. on September 1. The board reviews subdivision plans, site plan approvals and other land-use matters that shape development across town, making the appointment one to watch for residents who follow zoning and growth issues.

The Canal Region Farmers Market & Concerts by the Canal returns Thursday, July 23, continuing the summer season of vendor stalls and live music along the Cape Cod Canal. On Sunday, July 26, the town's calendar lists "Meditations on the Beach," a seaside program offered as part of Bourne's ongoing summer events lineup.
