Bourne Reopens Patuisset Beach for Swimming as Summer Continues

BOURNE — Patuisset Beach has reopened for swimming, the Town of Bourne announced this week, giving residents another spot to cool off along the canal region as the summer season continues. The reopening lands just as a full slate of town and school meetings, plus two outdoor community events, fills out Bourne's calendar over the next several days.

TOWN HALL The Town of Bourne posted a News Flash announcement confirming that Patuisset Beach has reopened for swimming. No additional detail on the closure or the reopening process was included in the town's post.

Bourne residents also have a full run of municipal meetings ahead this week. The Board of Assessors meets Monday, July 20, followed Tuesday, July 21, by the ISWM Building Committee, the Trustees of the Veterans Memorial Community Building, and the Select Board, which holds both an executive session and a regular session. The Board of Health holds a hybrid meeting Wednesday, July 22.

COMMUNITY & ARTS Two outdoor community events are on Bourne's calendar this week. "Dancing Under the Stars" is set for Tuesday, July 21, according to the town's events calendar. The Canal Region Farmers Market & Concerts by the Canal returns Thursday, July 23, continuing the summer run of outdoor markets and live music along the Cape Cod Canal.
