Dennis Opens Nominations for Annual Public Service Award

DENNIS — The town is now accepting nominations for the Dennis Public Service Award, an annual recognition honoring outstanding service by appointed or elected members of the town's boards, committees and commissions.

The Dennis Public Service Award recognizes volunteers who serve on the town's boards, committees and commissions, according to a notice posted to the town's website. The award is presented annually to individuals whose appointed or elected service has stood out; nomination details are available through the town's official notice.

COMING UP

Select Board members will hold drop-in office hours at the Dennis Public Library on Saturday, July 18, at 10 a.m. The Dennis-Yarmouth Regional School District School Committee holds a workshop Monday, July 20, the same day the Planning Board meets. The Council on Aging meets Tuesday, July 21, and the library hosts a Pop-Up Art School felted butterfly hoop program that afternoon at 4 p.m. A revised Old Kings Highway Regional Historic District Committee meeting is set for Wednesday, July 22, alongside a library Family Game Day. The library's Play, Storytime and Craft session and a Cape Cod History talk, "12 Stories for 12 Generations," both fall on Thursday, July 23.
