Dennis Select Board Unanimously OKs Carlton Hall Design, Holiday Safety Plans Set

With the Fourth of July just days away, town officials are finalizing public-safety measures, traffic changes, and beach protocols ahead of what is expected to be one of the busiest weekends of the summer.
TOWN HALL
The Town of Dennis and the Dennis Police Department have been coordinating plans for a safe, family-friendly Fourth of July weekend. A June 25 announcement detailed public-safety measures, traffic changes, and increased enforcement at Dennis beaches and beyond. Residents and visitors should expect adjusted access and heavier patrols around the holiday.
Also announced June 25, the Select Board unanimously approved moving forward with a proposed design for Carlton Hall. No additional details were included in the posted notice, but the unanimous vote signals broad board support for the project's next phase.

National Grid customers in Dennis who have not yet scheduled a gas meter exchange are urged to do so. The utility has warned it may need to temporarily interrupt service to customers who miss the scheduling window.

The Dennis Public Library has a full slate of summer programming lined up. Families can drop in for Yoga Family Fun on Monday, June 30, at 10:30 a.m. The following week brings Play, Storytime and Craft on July 9 at 10:30 a.m., followed by Musical Discoveries at 11 a.m. that same morning. Also on July 9, Organic Gardening with Jamie Dekes is scheduled for 6 p.m. A Family Paint Party and the Mystery Book Club are both set for July 14, at 1 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. respectively.
