Select Board · Meeting of October 19, 2026

Falmouth Select Board affirmed its first appointed town clerk and advanced $4.45 million in police station bond financing. The board voted unanimously to appoint Lisa McGoran, who has served as temporary clerk since Michael Palmer's retirement, calling it, in Chair Heather Goldstone's words, "an historic moment for the town." Members also voted unanimously to authorize sale of $4.45 million in bond anticipation notes for the new police station's design and engineering, with Town Manager Renshaw noting the town has already spent $2.63 million against the authorization. On housing, the board unanimously exercised its right of first refusal on a deed-restricted home at 8 Esker Place and approved a $125,000 Affordable Housing Fund grant toward its resale at $385,000.

The board also approved reducing a 17 Walker Street development from 11 to nine units, with three restricted to 80 percent area median income, and adopted the 2027 municipal fee schedule over member Robert Mascali's objection to one fee's elimination.
