CHATHAM — The Chatham Select Board heard a former Monomoy Regional Middle School building committee volunteer detail widespread window-installation flaws during an hourlong presentation. Bob Stello showed more than 150 photographs of gapped sheathing, excessive caulking and misaligned trim, telling the board "you would never accept this on your home." Chair Jeffrey Dykens called the images "abhorrent" and said he wouldn't sign off on the work. Assistant Superintendent of Finance Michael McMillan said some flagged windows had already been removed and reinstalled but acknowledged not everything was resolved to Stello's satisfaction.
Separately, the board unanimously approved a $16,849,585 zero-interest Massachusetts Clean Water Trust loan for wastewater expansion and signed off on new no-parking zones on Highland Avenue and Sequonset Road and "thickly settled" 30 mph signage on Old Harbor Road.
