Highfield Drive Resurfacing Set to Begin July 20
The Town of Sandwich announced that road resurfacing work on Highfield Drive is set to begin Monday, July 20, part of a wave of summer paving projects affecting neighborhood access across town.
TOWN HALL
The Department of Public Works confirmed that resurfacing on Highfield Drive is anticipated to start July 20, with work hours running 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, according to the town's News Flash announcement. Access to area homes may be periodically delayed during work hours, though full access will be restored at the end of each workday. The project follows a similar resurfacing effort already underway on Christopher Hollow Road and surrounding roadways, which began July 8.
The announcements come as the town continues to promote its "Slow Down – In Our Town" public safety campaign, a joint effort between the DPW and Police Department timed to the busy summer season and the upcoming week of America 250 celebrations.
