Orleans Open Space Committee begins drafting a public awareness campaign for land conservation. Chair Lynn told members she will step down from the chair role within a year, after three years in the post, and asked them to think about succession before June reappointments. Member David presented a five-step framework, defining objective, audience, message, channels and execution, for a possible outreach campaign, drawing on a Provincetown Independent essay by Mark Robinson.

Orleans Conservation Trust liaison Stephen O'Grady said the town's pace of open space protection has slowed since the land bank program became the Community Preservation Committee around 2010, pointing to the rejected Sampson Island partnership as a cautionary example. CPC representative Hardy estimated roughly $117,420 remains in the committee's budget but tabled a vote on a second funding round. Members will submit written campaign input by May 13 ahead of the May 20 meeting.
