Bourne Select Board appoints new town moderator and authorizes bridge liaisons ahead of MassDOT hearing. The board voted unanimously at its July 21 meeting to appoint Wayne Sampson as town moderator to fill a vacancy left after the May election, setting October 19, 2026 as the date for the fall special Town Meeting. The board also jointly appointed Harold Skelton, founder of veteran services organization Fishing for the Mission, to the Veterans Community Building Board of Trustees for a term ending May 18, 2027.
